I haven't had any time to make anything new this week but I did manage to outfit for one bear to enter in the 2008 TAIWAN BEAR OLYMPIC ONLINE Challenge.

I have just finished organising the photos from the weekend and uploaded the best ones. We did take a lot more photos but there were lots of closed eyes that I didn't see on the small camera screen. Maybe my old age is finally catching up with me.

Well it is over for another year! Winter Wonderland was a great show as usual. I started with 8 bears finished on the morning on the show. I sold 5 bears and still have 9 for sale. I know the maths does not add up but I did a little sewing at the show.
These are the bears that I had left at the end of today. I will list a few on eBay and put the others in my PayPal store.
I caught up with lots of old friends, some of whom I only see once or twice a year at craft or bears shows. I also had the chance to meet a few fellow bear artists who are on Teddy Talk .
My darling daughter Elly helped me for most of the weekend. Robbie also helped us on Saturday afternoon after his footy game.
On Friday night I finished this beautiful girl! Do you like her dress fabric??

Winter wonderland is tomorrow!
As usual I planned to complete a lot more bears than what I actually finished! The first photo is what is ready actually ready for sale except for the labelling. Pricing and labelling my bears is always let to last.
Now this is what is not finished! So tomorrow I will finish them at the show.
These ladies just need the buttons on their dresses!
These two need a little more stuffing and their outfits finished.
Hopefully tomorrow I will have a few photos of the show for you.

I had very nice weekend in Sydney surrounded by a group of very talented ladies.
Kate, Jo and I (I was the 'ring in') spent Friday setting up the booth and then collapse in the hotel room that night. We had room service and watched a movie – definitely the sort of thing you do when you are away from home!!
Kate and Jo's new business is called Annabellamoonthreads. I also meet a few ladies whose work I have admired for years but never actually meet.

I also bought a few new fabrics and have already started to cut them up.
The below pink and green are just divine. I have just finished dressing a big bear in these fabric.
On the weekend I did find some time for bear making and these four were nicknamed 'the quads'
Now I had better get back to sewing for this weekend!

I know that I have a bear show on next weekend Winter Wonderland but I am flying to Sydney tomorrow to help my friends Kate & Jo from Annabella Moonthreads at the Quilt and Craft Expo at Rosehill (It is a Wholesale Trade Show). I will be able to catch up with some of my designing friends as well as getting a sneak preview of what will be coming to our quilt stores soon.

I have just realised that I only have a few weeks to go until Winter Wonderland and I should be just a little more organised than what I am. I always enjoy trading at this show as it is in my home town.
It is now just starting to get a little cold here in Brisbane especially at night. We don't have all the lovely Autumn colours in our gardens but we have the most glorious sunny days. They are perfect for just being outside.
