HNY everyone. Wishing all of you happiness and good health in 2016. Let's hope life slows down a tad ...... and we all take time to smell the roses (and I hope to do lots of sewing and go to Moreton Island very regularly). 2016 will be amazing!!! xxxxx
What is your New Years resolution?
Are you thinking of doing something crafty in 2016? Why not join one of our popular Craft Circle groups.
Learn to sew, make a teddy bear, bag or quilt or have just have some ‘me’ time doing your crafts.
Our Craft circles are sewing and stitching groups for up to 8 people. All classes are held in my sewing studio situated in Anstead QLD.
You are welcome to bring along what ever you are working on (i.e. knitting, embroidery, bear making, quilting) or come and learn something new. Tuition is available in all classes.
Classes are held on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9.30am to 12.30pm and 7pm until 9.30pm. A small fee of $10 per class applies.
Everyone is saying how fast this year has disappeared! It seems we are all busier and busier and never have enough time for ourselves.
And in saying that we have been quite busy since the craft show - not really preparing for Christmas - but finishing WIP's.
I have a few photos to share from the last few weeks.
A few weeks ago we were without power as the electricity poles in our street were being replaced so we sat under the wisteria. It was really pleasant sitting outside for a change.
I finally finished a few Sew Together Bags that I had been making during our classes. This bag was extremely popular at the craft show and we sold out of the patterns on day 2.
I have also made a few children's clothes. (Mainly for the markets I am doing next Saturday.) I made a few pairs of christmas shorts a few years ago for a friend and when we were chatting she asked if I had made anymore.
I was thinking about offering a few classes in making basic children's clothes next year. So if you are interested please email me - email@example.com No dates have been set for 2016 and the classes will be only for a few hours. i.e. Basic children's shorts in three hours.
Over the last few weeks a few fabric orders have arrived. My favourite has to be Windermere by Brenda Riddle for Moda.
I have had the best time in the last five days catching up with everyone and showing my work to a whole new load of customers. We had an excellent show even sold out of a few things. A big thank you to my dear friends that helped me out both before and at the show (Liana, Helen, Jean, Jill, Jenny and Sharon).
My Barney Bessie Ben & Bunny Pattern and the Bear Heart Bear Pattern were hits.
I will get some more 'Cuddle" fabric back in.
If anyone is interested in classes please contact me.
The answer to this is no-where really. I do find it hard to keep up with it all especially updating my blog and website. I do regularly update my Facebook page and occasionally I post on Instagram and pin a few things on Pinterest.
Recently I have made a few videos on how I do little things like airbrushing and how I wax my bears noses. I hope you find it useful.
Here is a short video of how I wax a nose. Please let me know if this is helpful and you are welcome to share it.
